EKSKUL English Club in Hybrid English Debate Contest

GO GREAT SMAGHA’S DEBATERS!!!
At 14 May 2009, English Club of SMA Negeri 3 Mojokerto, Progress English Club” held English Debate Selection 2009 to choose the best debaters team from “SMAGHA” who will represent our school in “Hybrid English Debate Competition” conducted by Education Department of East Java Province”
Before the selection was started, Mrs. Siti Arofah as the trainer of Enlish Club, assisted by Tutut Setiawan , the leader of SMAGHA’s English Club, gave some speeches to motivate and give some information about the competition. And before opening the competition, Mrs Arofah reminded that no matter who will represent SMA for Hybrid English Debate in East Java Province, all participants ,who are mostly students of the tenth grade, are the best debaters.
All participants of SMAGHA’s Hybrid English Debate Competition which consist of 3 teams were given some time for about 45 minutes to take a break, pray, and eat. They were also given 15 minutes to have case building or to prepare the matter of the debate.


Then, the first team which consisted of Richa, Enita, and Firda, will debate against the second team which consisted of Novita, Utami, and Ayu. The debate was very amazing, interesting, and tight. After that, the third team which consisted of “The Twin Debatres” F.N. Mutmainah and F.N. Mutaharoh, in collaboration with Destia got the turn to debate against the swing team which consisted of Tutut, Gabriella, and Ragil. The second debate was also very amazing,interesting, and tight.
In SMAGHA’s Hybrid English Contest, the participant s must not only debate but also were interviewed by Mrs. Arofah to determine the best team for joinning the Hybrid English Contest held by East Java Province at DBL Arena. This selection gave profit s for the participant s in order to be ready in the next game.
Based on the result of the debate selection and interview test, Mrs. Arofah and the adjustdicatiors from senior debaters or eleven grade debaters chose the first winner, they were Novita(X-A), Enita (X-B), Sakinah Utami (X-E) and the runner up were Fitria N. Mutmainah,Fitria N. Muthoharoh and Richa. The first winner got the chance to join Hybrid English Contest 2009 conducted by Education Department of East Java Province as the representative from SMA 3 Mojokerto.
And in the Hybrid English Debate Competition in East Java Province which was conducted on June 12th 2009 in DBL Arena, SMA Negeri 3 Mojokerto was in the 9th Rank. Even though SMAGHA’s debaters couldn’t be the winner of Hybrid English Debate Competition in East Java Province, but they’ve been already the winner. Congratulation guys!
